MISSION STATEMENT

We are a leading edge Wire EDM Job Shop with a "GIVE US A CHALLENGE" attitude, working with customers that wish to establish and maintain a true Partnership relationship. We offer our 34 years of Wire EDM experience of helping solve customer tooling, production, and prototype Wire EDM requirements. We will exceed our customer expectations in quality and service.

BACKGROUND

In 1981 Chuck and his wife Carolyn founded a Wire EDM Job Shop in York, Pennsylvania, when Wire Electrical Discharge Machining was in it's infancy and became a pioneer in the technology by introducing Wire EDM to major Stamping Houses, Precision Lead Frame Die Manufacturers, and Plastic Injection Molding Companies. Further technology development was done for IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Jade Corporation, and AMP Inc., the world's largest electronic connector manufacturer. Our company was a key partner to the AMP Technology Division by continually pushing the limits on our technology to design and build smaller connector components. AMP Incorporated, founded in 1941, developed a solderless method of attaching electrical terminals to wire which improved connection consistency and manufacturing efficiency. For over fifty years, AMP dominated the connector industry and was the leading maker of terminals, connectors and related products – components which could be found in virtually any finished electronic device (from toasters to supercomputers). AMP Incorporated is now part of Tyco Electronics. Most of these same customers make up our core business today. MILESTONES REACHED over the years include but are not limited to... The FIRST: Wire EDM production Job Shop utilizing automatic wirethreading, down to .004" diameter wire. The LARGEST: Wire EDM Machine - capable of large openings without moving the part and height up to 10" thick at that time . The BEST: Wire EDM resources available...using the latest CNC controlled equipment from AGIE, MITSUBISHI, SODICK, and CHARMILLES. The FASTEST: Wire EDM services available - 24 hours/day operation. PLUS: Owning and Operating a Wire EDM Job Shop has always been our only business... For the last 34 years we have specialized in the perfection of Wire EDM technology and guaranteed total customer satisfaction, creating and maintaining lasting partnerships with our customers. Our aim is to become not just a part of the process, but your partner in the process...by offering knowledgeable engineering assistance, manufacturing excellence, and top-notch customer service - we become an integral part of your engineering and manufacturing team. Our processes are an alternative to stamping and fineblanking. Unlike conventional stamping, where tooling costs are high, volume requirements are long, and lead time is excessive, our Wire EDM alternative is cost effective, accurate, and rapid. Our process is also ideal for prototyping or for producing complex, intricate and exacting parts with exceptional edge quality.

PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE by Optisolutions. This software is the best available for our Agie Wire EDM machines as it is simple to program every feature of the AgieVision control as well as enable us to import our customer's solid models and extract what we need instantly with Optisolutions Automatic Feature Recognition, allowing us to have a program running on a machine in less than 3 minutes!

Quality Control System is equivalent to MIL-I-45208A and is designed and documented to insure that our total manufacturing process is consistent and repeatable each and every time and facilitates continual improvement.

Critical evaluation of every part insures you of on-time, in-spec delivery. Before any part leaves our facility, it must meet our critical verification inspection. Each part is given 100% inspection in which all of the customer's tolerances are strictly maintained. Whether you require statistical process control (SPC) or 100 percent inspection, our quality system is equipped to supply the documentation you need. Our Quality Control Equipment includes a Starrett Optical Comparator with Quadra-Chek Readout System, Starrett Pink Laboratory Grade Granite Surface Plates, Deltronic Gage Pin Library with .0001" increment pins, 3R/Unimatic Air-Chuck Preset Tooling with .000080" repeatability mounted in all machines and on Laboratory Grade Surface Plates Pre-Set Stations, Mahr Precision Dial Indicators, Starrett/Webber Laboratory Grade Gage Blocks, and calibrated hand measuring equipment.
